Racquel Harris

Racquel is an educator, researcher, and advocate dedicated to advancing educational equity and strengthening systems of support for children and families. Raised by a single mother whose determination led their family to participate in the St. Louis Student Transfer Program (VICC), Racquel experienced firsthand the transformative power of access and opportunity. That experience continues to shape her commitment to systems change.
She has served the Memphis community as a court-appointed special advocate, family services counselor, educator, instructional coach, adjunct instructor, and educational researcher. Racquel holds degrees in Mass Communication, Human Services Administration, Teaching, and Education, including a Doctorate in Education. She brings extensive experience supporting educational programs, student success initiatives, and community partnerships, including work evaluating Full-Service Community Schools, all with a focus on helping children and families thrive.
