Position Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives Associate plays a critical role in advancing partner engagement, driving effective communications, managing essential data, and supporting project management to ensure the success of strategic initiatives. This position fosters strong collaboration among partners, bridges the gap between on-the-ground strategy implementation and storytelling for the communications team, and ensures accurate data tracking and seamless monitoring of progress to drive impactful outcomes across initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Partner Engagement Support
    Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organizations to foster collaboration and trust.
    Support partners in understanding organizational strategies and maintain a general awareness of ongoing activities within strategic initiatives.

  • Communication & Storytelling Liaison
    Collect and communicate stories and insights from community engagement efforts to the communications team, ensuring that the impact of strategic initiatives is effectively highlighted.
    Serve as the connective tissue among internal teams by maintaining clear communication and feedback loops to ensure all are informed of activities and developments across strategic initiatives.

  • Partner Data Management
    Develop and coordinate a database and related processes to organize partner information and track ongoing engagement.
    Assist with the implementation and adoption of the Salesforce system to enhance partner relationship management and data accuracy.

  • Partnership Meeting Support
    Schedule, conduct, and support partnership meetings and ongoing communications to ensure alignment and momentum across initiatives.

    Attend meetings across strategic initiatives to gather relevant information, identify potential challenges, and pinpoint areas where additional support or capacity may be needed.

  • Project Management Support

    Partner with the designated focus area project manager to support overarching project management of strategic initiatives by tracking progress, coordinating updates, and ensuring internal teams remain informed about the status of each strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Experience working in or with nonprofit organizations is preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effectively conveying information and building relationships.

  • Interpersonal Skills:

    The ability to interact effectively with a variety of people and build rapport is essential.

  • Organizational Skills:

    Associates need to be able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and stay organized.

  • Problem-Solving Skills:

    The ability to identify and resolve communication issues or conflicts is vital.

  • Negotiation and Persuasion Skills:

    Associates may need to negotiate and persuade stakeholders to reach mutually agreeable outcomes.

  • Conflict Resolution Skills:

    The ability to manage conflicts and find solutions is essential.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM:

    Experience with Salesforce enhances partner relationship management and data accuracy.

  • Project Management Skills:

    Ability to track progress, coordinate updates, and support seamless execution of multiple strategic initiatives.

  • Collaboration and Teamwork:

    Effectively works across internal teams and with external partners to foster alignment and momentum.
